Professional Biography

Dr Sunita Sedhain is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with more than 7 years of clinical experience in this field and is currently working in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, KNMC Hospital, Kathmandu. She completed her MBBS from the University of Science and Technology Chittagong, Bangladesh, in 2013 and then her MD from Kathmandu University, Nepal. Dr Sedhain is particularly interested in high-level obstetric and gynaecological care, particularly in the area of reproductive medicine and infertility. She offers patient-centred care to women seeking specialist help for pregnancy, reproductive health and gynaecological problems. Her clinical approach includes appropriate assessment, individualised treatment planning, and effective communication throughout care. Dr Sedhain is available for OPD consultation at KNMC Hospital from Sunday to Friday. She speaks Nepali, English and Hindi, which helps her to connect well with patients from different backgrounds in Kathmandu. Her training in obstetrics, gynaecology, reproductive medicine and infertility care enables her to support women in their specialist health care needs in an informed, respectful and holistic manner.
